Found these taken when my parents were visitng and thought I'd  reveal to you, the wonders that can be found at The Royal Botanical Gardens here in Edinburgh. It's just 5 minutes along the road from my flat. How very fortunate to live so close to such a lovely place.

The sun came and said "hello, i'm returning", just like the smile to my face at the thought of longer evenings and brighter mornings ........  and it went down slowly and waited around a  bit longer to walk home with me

A busy Saturday morning and a doing Sunday this weekend. Off yonder to The Road of Easter and then to the Walk of Leith. Mission accomplished. Nothing better than a fresh bed. Sewing and darning and purse clamped closed.

killing time past dusk in the local area brought about some wonderous lights of many colours, irridescent (love that word) from different angles and I remembered  another word I love which fits too

On my way to England I stopped in the railway station foyer and looked up. Much to my surprise as part of the refurbishment to Waverly, the lightwell was covered with tarpaulins and it just looked so beautiful. A bit like a japanese umbrella I think

I always wanted one ... and said to my English Teacher Mr. Janacek that I would go back and visit him in one but alas I don't even drive! Having a picture of one (or even two) is a bit like having one!!??? I would like to get in an go somewhere nice.... Me an my man, just like Bonnie & Clyde but without the robberies.
